Pump for waste solvents / slightly viscous media / self-priming / EX
Pump for waste solvents in cement plant A major cement manufacturer uses high-energy fuels in its kilns. The fuels are delivered by tanker truck. To transfer the fuels, the cement manufacturer required a pump with EX Zone 1, T3 certification. The pump had to be insensitive to solids, able to pump slightly viscous media, self-priming and resistant to solvents. One further prerequisite for this application was a compact, space-saving design of the pump and the drive.
As a solution the manufacturer selected a Accuvon AP 100 Rotary Lobe Pump with bevel gear reducer and motor. Working closely with the customer, the pump was designed to meet the tough requirements established by the cement manufacturer.
